Engagement Officer, Exhibitions
To develop and deliver temporary exhibitions across museum sites, working with colleagues and external partners to deliver an excellent and inclusive audience- focussed service.
Working as part of a multi-disciplinary team across Bristol Culture you will lead on the production of high quality, distinct and diverse exhibitions which enable the service to be accessed and enjoyed by the widest range of audiences.
We are looking for a highly organised and motivated individual to play a key role in the delivery of our exciting and diverse exhibition's programme for Bristol Culture. The role of the Engagement Officer, Exhibitions will be to work with colleagues and external partners to develop and deliver high quality, distinct and diverse temporary exhibitions across our museums.
Bristol Culture is an Arts Council England funded Major Partner Museum and delivers city wide festivals, events, exhibitions and world class museums with over 1 million visitors a year.
Working within a multi-disciplinary team made up from curators, designers, conservators to front of house staff you will lead on the production of exhibitions making sure that they attract targeted audiences, which may not necessarily be regular museum visitors.
Using project management skills, creative thinking and problem solving you will need to be able to manage multiple projects at the same time, to tight time frames and budgets. We are also looking for someone with a proven track record of working with contractors, suppliers and volunteers.
The role is based at Bristol Museum & Gallery but will require working across museum sites including M Shed. Although your agreed working hours will be between Monday and Friday, you may be required to work evening and weekends from time to time.
