Apprentice Opportunities

The Bristol Apprenticeship programme offers young people the opportunity to earn whilst they learn.
Apprentices are employed on full time, fixed term contracts and work alongside our employees to gain the practical skills that our business needs.

They also undertake a relevant qualification with one of our local training providers, typically attending college one day per week.

As an employee, they are given opportunities for progression and will also be able to apply for permanent roles with Bristol City Council.

Apprenticeships are offered in a huge variety of areas including business administration, procurement, finance, security, recycling, marketing and communications and ICT.

Trainees are recruited to an entry level grade and by following a skills pathway and undergoing structured training, including professional or vocational qualifications, grow into the fully qualified grade of the post over the period of a few years.
