Online applications

Bristol City Council is committed to achieving excellence based on positive and constructive relationships with both the residents it serves and its employees.

All of the job vacancies featured on our website list can be applied for using our Online Application Form, which using 128-bit secure encryption will be submitted directly to our Recruitment Service. Simply select 'Apply Online' on the right hand side of the job advertisement and the correct application form for that job will be displayed in your Web browser.

Completing the form is easy, and if you wish to complete it in more than one session, you can save on your ‘My Account’ page. This will enable you to come back and finish it before submitting it to us.
We have a variety of simple fields including drop-down menus and mandatory fields (indicated by an *) which MUST be completed prior to submitting your application.

You will be asked to complete a separate set of boxes for each educational establishment. Enter only the qualifications obtained there and then use the Add button for the next establishment. You can use the Add Education as many times as you need. The Add Training and Add Previous Employment buttons can be used in the same way.

Disability: Disabled job applicants, who meet all the essential criteria on the employee specification for each job applied for, are guaranteed an interview. Access requirements will be met at interview.
